Accountant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in the Financial Services industry, based in Bellevue, Washington. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, tasked with managing financial information and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting principles to prepare, review, and analyze monthly schedules supporting the balance sheet and income statement.

• Apply accounting procedures to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

• Organize and maintain the accuracy of all financial information recorded and reported.

• Foster effective communication with other departments and team to assure complete and accurate financial information.

• Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly journal entries.

• Serve as the point of contact for inquiries, problems, and exceptions related to assigned tasks.

• Use technical accounting knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) in daily tasks.

• Prioritize work effectively with guidance from manager or lead.

• Perform assignments independently while demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Utilize intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP), and General Ledger Software.

• Utilize SQL for automating processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.

• Proficient in SQL highly preferred

• Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Prior experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred
