– Submitting paper and electronic claims in compliance with payer regulations
– Following up on unpaid claims by contacting insurance companies, patients, and employers
– Drafting appeals and using web-based client payer portals
– Utilizing various software systems to resolve accounts for payment
– Maintaining professionalism when communicating with payers and patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Ability to work cooperatively with others and prioritize tasks
– Strong organization skills and attention to detail
– Previous experience or training in a healthcare office setting preferred
– Certified Biller or HFMA Certification preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare-related service
– Familiarity with common computer systems and business software
