We are seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ob/gyn medical terminology, and insurance verification processes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate insurance coverage for patients.
• *Responsibilities:**
– Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
– Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and verify claims
– Update patient records with insurance information
– Provide patients with costs of procedures, OB contracts
– Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
– Collaborate with medical billing team to resolve any insurance-related issues
– Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical records to accurately verify insurance information
– Work closely with the medical staff to coordinate insurance verification for GYN procedures
• *Qualifications:**
– Previous experience in insurance verification in related field
– Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and HIPAA regulations
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
– Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance companies and patients
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office environment
– Familiarity with medical office procedures and insurance verification software is a plus
