We are currently seeking a meticulous and dependable Part-Time Remote Bookkeeper to manage our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Reconciliation: Perform regular bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
• Billing and Invoicing: Prepare and process invoices for services… provided, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Track and manage accounts receivable to ensure prompt payments.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with relevant regulations, especially those related to the Department of Developmental Services.
• Reporting: Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management review.
• Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing insights and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
• Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organized electronic records.
• Communication: Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial matters, including resolving any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
• Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a healthcare or services agency. Experience with nonprofit or government-funded programs is a plus.
• Certification: Must be certified in QuickBooks.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks certification required) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Familiarity with online payment platforms and payroll systems is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
• Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Ethics and Confidentiality: High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical financial practices.
