Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant position is responsible for payroll management including processing payroll timely, accurately and in compliance with government regulations. Assist with financial reporting, monthly close processing and general ledger reconciliations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Post and review Accounts Payable and Account Receivable general ledger postings to ensure accuracy
• Process weekly timely and accurate payroll
• Reconcile weekly payroll along with quarterly tax reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare journal entries and month end accrual adjustments
• Process weekly billing invoices to customers and vendors
• Support with month and year end close process
• Respond to employee payroll and accounting inquiries
• Initiate and maintain out of state registrations
• Complete various audit and data entry projects as assigned by controller
• All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
• 0-5 years of accounting experience or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of general ledger accounting experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as necessary.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move throughout office environment.
• Continually observe information/data both on paper and electronically at a close range/distance.
• Continually operate computer and other electronic office equipment
