Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including maintaining accurate financial reports, preparing journal entries, and assisting with monthly closing processes. You will also contribute to budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with… accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain Financial Records: Manage financial reports, general ledger accounts, and ensure accurate documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury.
Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and support the monthly closing processes.
Budgeting and Projections: Assist in the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Reporting and Deadlines: Meet processing and reporting deadlines effectively.
Information Requests and Audits: Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audit processes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Support: Provide assistance to the accounting supervisor and team as needed.
Desired Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with sound judgment, diplomacy, and patience. Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of GAAP.
Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
