As we continue to grow, we’re excited to welcome a talented Accounting Manager to our team. This is a full-time, remote position where you can work from anywhere, though you’ll need to align with Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of our accounting department, including Month-End Close, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Payroll. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining strong financial controls and will play a key part in decisions that impact our Finance & Accounting team. You’ll collaborate closely with operational managers and other finance teams to drive business success. Additionally, you’ll take the lead on implementing and enhancing various business systems, such as our general ledger and other automation tools. The ideal candidate is self-driven, confident, and ready to help shape our company’s long-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion in line with accounting policies and guidelines.

Review monthly balance sheets, journal entries, and financial statements, focusing on completeness, accuracy, and compliance with consolidation, intercompany accounting, and corporate debt and equity standards.

Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during financial statement reviews.

Design and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Support system implementations, with experience in General Ledger, AP Automation, Credit Cards, and Expense Management/Travel being a plus.

Provide technical accounting expertise, particularly in revenue cycle management and accounts receivable within a healthcare setting.

Continuously assess and improve analytical tools and reporting systems to enhance financial management.

Develop and maintain internal accounting controls, ensuring processes meet GAAP standards and are consistently followed.

Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including those in AP/AR, Project Accounting, and Payroll.

Manage external audits and coordinate annual tax filings with external partners.

Drive the automation of AP and AR processes, aligning with the company’s strategic goals.

Guide staff development, goal setting, and provide coaching to build a high-performing team.

Set strategic direction for the department and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.

Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of performance excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.

Preferred Experience In The Healthcare Industry.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.

Remote Work Experience Preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Ability to escalate risks and issues to leadership for timely resolution.

Experience With GL Implementations Preferred (e.g., Intacct, NetSuite, Blackline).

Experience with AP Automation, Credit Cards, Expense Management, and Travel implementations is a plus.

Familiarity with Federal Government Regulations is preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, redesign processes, and execute action plans.

Excellent attention to detail and a passion for understanding and improving processes.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Compensation And Benefits

The expected annual pay range for this role is between $120,000 – $135,000. Actual base pay may vary depending on factors such as experience, expertise, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
