Corporate Accounting Manager – Remote | WFH

About The Role

Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to make an impact? We’re looking for an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing our Corporate Accounting Department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You’ll work closely with the Director of Corporate Accounting and lead by example, providing top-notch… service and delivering accurate financial results.

What You’ll Do

Oversee day-to-day corporate accounting functions, including accounts receivable, lease accounting, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, prepaids, and accrued liabilities.

Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, collaborating with corporate, subsidiary, and project accounting teams to meet deadlines.

Prepare and analyze month-over-month and budget-to-actual reports for balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP.

Assist with year-end audits and support the establishment of accounting procedures and controls.

Train new and existing team members on accounting processes.

Build strong relationships with other departments to facilitate smooth information transfer.

Work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects, making decisions, and meeting deadlines.

Continuously seek ways to enhance efficiency and improve processes in line with growth.

Must-Haves

Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

4+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a mix of public and corporate accounting.

3+ years of managerial experience.

3+ years of experience with complex organizational structures, joint ventures, and parent-subsidiaries.

Strong knowledge of GAAP.

Experience in the solar industry is a plus but not required.

Familiarity with Oracle Fusion and/or Sage Intacct accounting software is a plus.

Experience with accounting software implementations is beneficial.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Proficient in MS Office.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

CPA/MBA/MA is a plus.

Work Environment

Remote work with quarterly travel to Asheville, NC.
