It’s a mindset, feeling and attitude we wrap around all that we do – from taking charge of our careers, to helping colleagues and lending a hand in the community Position Description Manages day-to-day operation of administering state Medicaid dental programs, which includes planning, implementation, and administration of dental benefits for Medicaid beneficiaries and ensuring initiatives align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Primary Job Responsibilities Serves as primary point-of-contact and subject matter expert between Renaissance/Delta Dental and state Medicaid staff to ensure successful contract execution against program requirements. Responsible for total market oversight to ensure program success. Leads in developing, implementing, administering and maintaining benefit programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for gathering requirements, creating plans, managing resources, and facilitating project execution and deployment. Oversees cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall program expectations and business objectives. Provides leadership and effectively communicates project status to all stakeholders as well as other relevant issues, implications and decisions. Negotiates with project stakeholders to efficiently resolve potential issues and mitigate risks Analyzes data to evaluate the efficiency and value of current program and to inform strategic planning and decision making aligned to program financials. Identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement in dental benefit management processes. Interviews, hires, trains, develops, and evaluates Tennessee-based staff to ensure accountability for the achievement of goals and objectives. Provides expertise and support in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating and resolving all forms of external concerns from client and external stakeholders. Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above #LI-Hybrid Minimum Requirements: Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field and seven years of experience in benefit administration or program/project management and two years of leadership experience. Previous experience administering Medicaid or managed care programs preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Position requires advanced knowledge of the insurance industry; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to represent and present on behalf of the organization; the ability to identify and persuade key decision makers; strong analytical skills; and the ability to identify and resolve complex problems using independent judgment.
