Finance Controller – Remote | WFH

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Finance Controller to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in cost accounting and finance, who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing and distribution environment. Key Details

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a finance-related role, including at least 3 years in a managerial position.

Travel: Approximately 5% to 10% (domestic and international) as needed.

Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. Flexibility in schedule is possible.

Skills: Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment, cost accounting, and proficiency in SAP are highly valued. Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Financial Oversight: Ensure financial transparency for operations, including warehousing, light manufacturing, labor-based analysis, new product introduction, and capital expenditures.

Performance Monitoring: Track financial performance, provide KPI analysis, and prepare performance reporting and forecasts.

Budget Management: Plan, monitor, and review operational budgets.

Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily financial controlling and analysis activities.

Data Transparency: Support operational improvements through data monitoring and transparency.

Month-End Activities: Manage month-end tasks such as data compilation, journal entry preparation, and general ledger review.

Cost Accounting: Handle cost accounting for products within the distribution center.

Process Automation: Automate financial business processes and build reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Project Participation: Contribute to projects and cost improvement initiatives, driving data-based decisions.

Partnership: Collaborate with the distribution center management team to enhance business operations and customer satisfaction.

Reporting: Respond to management requests for ad hoc reports and analysis.

Forecasting: Provide business forecasts based on requirements.

Compliance: Support adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a management role.

Skills: Expertise in cost accounting, standard costing, labor and overhead rate calculations, and proficiency. Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Attributes: Team-oriented with a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in financial analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Tools: Familiarity with Tableau, Snowflake, Hyperion, and advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office skills.

Previous Experience: Experience in business unit or business segment operational finance.
