What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Prepare and post journal entries
– Complete accounting worksheets, cash application, and reports in accordance with GAAP
– Drive process improvements within the Finance department
– Participate in company-wide projects and initiatives
– Interpret reinsurance contracts and apply reinsurance terms
What is Required (Qualifications):
– 6-7 years of accounting experience required
– 5+ years of College level coursework in accounting or finance
– Knowledge of IFRS and US Statutory accounting principles
– Ability to analyze and interpret financial operating statements
– Knowledge of automated accounting systems (SAP Preferred)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Reinsurance and/or Insurance background preferred
– Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines
