Role Overview
We’re seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing periodic financial reports for external investors and other stakeholders, supporting annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and variance analysis. You’ll also be responsible for ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial reports, including loan production, loan portfolio, and borrower demographics.
Maintain a reporting calendar to meet deadlines for external and internal stakeholders.
Create and manage reporting dashboards and Excel models.
Support the Finance department with annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting.
Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis against forecasts, budgets, and prior-year actuals.
Provide detailed expense reporting to internal budget owners.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling for senior leadership.
Identify and lead process improvement projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
At least two years of experience in financial reporting and/or accounting.
Experience with a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) or Small Business Administration programs is a plus, but not required.
Skills And Abilities
Familiarity with nonprofit reporting, accounting, and auditing practices.
Strong commitment to our mission and guiding principles.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to meet reporting deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in CRM tools, business intelligence tools, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to translate operational processes into financial metrics and reporting.
Strong focus on continuous improvement and process efficiencies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Workspace/Physical Requirements
Hybrid work environment with travel to the main office for meetings and training.
Reliable internet service to fulfill work responsibilities (basic equipment provided).
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities.
