We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Manager of Project Accounting to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in construction and civil engineering accounting to manage all aspects of project accounting. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

Project Accounting Oversight: Manage all project accounting functions, including manufacturing accounting, monthly reporting, ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts receivable.

Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Cost Monitoring: Track project costs and revenue to ensure precise financial reporting.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate accounting.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for projects.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project accountants.

Budgeting and Audits: Assist in the annual budgeting process and financial audits.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Special Projects: Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project accounting or a related field, ideally within engineering or manufacturing.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, monthly reporting, ledger reconciliation, annual budgeting, and accounts receivable.

Leadership: Proven experience in managing and developing a team.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships at all organizational levels.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on timely and accurate analyses.

Integrity: High level of integrity and dependability with a results-oriented approach.

Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant regulatory rules and regulations.
