Position Description: Accountable for the delivery of test automation platforms, toolchains and processes for software systems and infrastructure deploying to production. Provides direction to the team on implementing highly… automated testing and software delivery solutions. Primary Job Responsibilities: Manages, schedules, plans, and coordinates team and staff assignments, budgets, and services. Oversees activities related to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of platforms and services to support testing and automated software delivery. Ensures that corporate, departmental and team standards and processes are utilized, and improvements are implemented to enhance performance of the team. Provides strategic and operational direction as the owner of test automation in areas including application, system, and performance testing. Partners with leaders in the agile community to drive a roadmap where quality and automation are principles within all planned work. Actively participates in incident remediation to identify testing opportunities and strategies to improve system quality. Develops talent, applies clear and consistent performance standards, and handles performance problems decisively and objectively. Seeks input from others, listens effectively, and uses diplomacy, tact, and consensus when applicable to build relationships and gain trust, respect, and support. Leads and mentors team members to support the maintenance and production activities as required by the business unit. Implements a roadmap for test automation and quality controls applicable to changing application and platform design, including micro services and public cloud migration. Manages budget and relationships with vendors that provide tools and services. Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above. #LI-Hybrid Minimum Requirements: Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field and seven years of IT experience including quality engineering, testing or similar and at least three years in team leadership. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Position requires in depth knowledge of software testing, development and delivery methodologies; experience writing, managing and maintaining test automation suites for single page application and high performance batch applications; experience implementing testing tools and automation practices leveraging tools like Selenium, Postman, JMeter; DocBridge Delta; experience with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, SQL; experience managing engineering teams of five or more staff; ability to lead and mentor staff; ability to analyze and resolve complex problems; ability to plan work and required staffing levels; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences; and excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills preferred.
