Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, handling payroll inquiries, maintaining payroll records, and complying with relevant laws and regulations. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency to support the organization’s financial operations and employee satisfaction.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
• Review and approve payroll data, including timekeeping records, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, regulations, and requirements and implement necessary updates.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in the payroll system.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline payroll operations and enhance accuracy.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to address payroll issues and provide strategic guidance.
• Prepare and present payroll reports, audit documentation and analysis to management, stakeholders and outside auditors as needed.
• Manage and maintain payroll systems, ensuring they are updated and optimized for efficiency.
• Provide back-up coverage and support for other payroll positions, as required.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related role.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Proven experience as a payroll administrator or in a similar role, demonstrating a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
• Proficiency with UKG payroll software and advanced Excel skills, preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strategic thinker.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Wage: $26.92 – $31.73 hourly; actual wage is based upon education and experience.

Location: This position is remote within the US mainland, or if the candidate is local to the Eden Prairie, MN home office, will be based out of this location with work from home flexibility.
