Payroll Specialist

Roessel Joy is partnering with a Healthcare company that is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist for their team. An ideal candidate would have 3+ years of Payroll Processing Experience. This position would report to the Payroll Supervisor. This is would be a fully remote position! Responsibilities:
• Manages Payroll for 1,000-2,000 staff members, with the ability to work independently within a team framework.
• Process bi-weekly payrolls on a weekly basis.
• Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
• Ensures new hires and terminations are processed in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
• Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
• Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
• Responsible for answering phone and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Escalates concerns as appropriate to other staff members within the HR department.
• Performs accurate entry of new hire information into HRIS system.
• Pulls electronic time clock records and reviews the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
• Contacts various department managers and supervisors for resolution of any missed time punches and incorrect payroll allocations.
• Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed.
• Pulls internal management reports from HRIS and time clock systems.
• Assists HR, Payroll Director and/or Payroll Supervisor with various special tasks or projects.
• Ensures all employment documents are filed appropriately.
• Performs other tasks, duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

B.S in Accounting or Finance

3+ years in Accounting or Finance

UKG Payroll Software Experience Preferred
