Key Responsibilities
Timely Reporting: Prepare and submit Estimates At Completion (EAC), Monthly Status Reports (MSR), invoices, and special reports for internal Project and Program Managers and external clients.
Risk Tracking: Monitor and report on financial risks related to funding burn and exhaustion.
Financial Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact for the flow of financial information between Program Managers, Deputy Program Managers, and corporate finance staff.
Accounting Interface: Collaborate with Accounting (Payroll, General Ledger, and Accounts Payable) on all contract-related financial charges, including labor, subcontractors, consultants, travel, and material costs.
Accounts Receivable: Track and resolve Accounts Receivable Aging for assigned projects and reconcile unbilled receivables.
Customer Communication: Engage with customers to address and resolve billing issues promptly.
Contract Tracking: Work with Contracts/Subcontracts to manage threshold notifications, funding burns, modification statuses, and subcontractor funding.
Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure accurate data entry in Unanet.
Additional Tasks: Assist with other tasks as needed to help the team achieve its objectives.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
Knowledge of Federal Government contract types (Cost Plus, Time and Materials, Fixed Price).
Understanding of Indirect Rates and their application to costs.
Ability to interpret government contract awards and modifications.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
Familiarity with Unanet Accounting Software is preferred.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of accounting practices and concepts.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree.
3 to 5 years of experience in financial management and program control.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance if needed.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
