**Overview:**
The City of Tallahassee is seeking a highly skilled Accountant II or III to join our team in the City Treasurer Clerk’s Office- Revenue department. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the City’s accounting systems and related modules and programs. **Responsibilities:**

• Assist supervisors and train new or existing staff on assigned tasks
• Perform accounting work covering various phases of financial, accounting, and administrative management, control, and analysis
• May supervise clerical and lower-level professional personnel
• Work independently under the general direction of a higher-level supervisor
• Perform audits, internal checks, reports, observation, and by results obtained
• *Qualifications:**
• For Accountant II:
+ Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and two years of professional accounting experience
+ Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, one year of full-time studies in accounting and one year of professional accounting experience
+ Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, evidence that the CPA or CMA exam has been passed, and one year of professional accounting experience
• For Accountant III:
+ Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and three years of professional accounting experience
+ Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, one year of postgraduate study in accounting (30 semester hours), and two years of professional accounting experience
+ Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, evidence that the CPA or CMA exam has been passed, and two years of professional accounting experience
+ Equivalent combination of training and experience
