About The Role
As our new Staff Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting key business decisions. This position offers a blend of hands-on accounting work and strategic financial planning, providing a fantastic opportunity for career growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and manage monthly financial statements and journal entries
• Handle property tax returns and transient tax filings
• Generate and oversee financial statements for multiple entities
• Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Lead audit preparations and tax work paper compilations
• Manage accounts payable across multiple properties
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 2 years of general ledger accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of SAGE100 is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Adept at managing pressure and meeting deadlines

Physical Requirements
This role primarily involves office work, with the following physical activities:

• Occasional reaching for files or supplies (3-6 hours daily)
• Minimal climbing stairs, bending, or lifting (up to 20 lbs., less than 1 hour daily)
