Our client, an industry-specific healthcare services provider, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Head of Finance & Accounting to join their Executive Team.
Position Responsibilities…
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s overall business objectives.
• Ensure the financial stability and growth of the company through effective financial planning, analysis, and management.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Take a hands-on approach to supporting the business and be a leader within the company.
• Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Oversee cash flow management, capital structure, and investment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Manage lender debt covenant reporting and compliance.
• Lead and manage annual audit and tax engagements on behalf of the company and finance department.
• Lead and manage contract renewal cycles for the company and the impact to the financial performance during each cycle.
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term business strategies and plans.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business development initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for growth, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the finance department.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software and technology solutions.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the finance team and other business units.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience working in a lower-middle-market (less than $50M) or early-stage/startup company highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
• Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and operational analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
• Experience leading annual company audit process preferred
