Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Insurance Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement. Preferrably has experience with California Insurance Billing.
Duties
– Review and verify accuracy of billing data
– Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
– Follow up on unpaid claims
– Resolve billing issues and discrepancies
– Maintain patient billing records
– Utilize medical coding and terminology
– Collaborate with medical staff for billing accuracy
Requirements
– Proficiency in medical coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG systems
– Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, records, and collections
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Previous experience in medical billing is required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 – $30.00 per… hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
