What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Originate high quality mortgage loans for low-to-moderate income borrowers
– Increase mortgage loan volume through effective consultative selling
– Act as a representative of the bank in the community and provide training seminars to residents
– Work with non-profit partners to provide home buyer education and mortgage credit counseling
– Serve on housing/credit/finance related boards and organizations
What is Required (Qualifications):
– High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
– Two years’ experience in community development lending or minority mortgage lending
– Knowledge of affordable housing programs and first-time homebuyer education programs
– Good listener and self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
– Ability to travel within the market and possess a valid driver’s license
