Role: Mortgage Loan Closer
We are actively seeking dedicated and proactive mortgage professionals to join our growing team. Initially remote, this role will transition to an in-office position once local resources are hired. Candidates must reside in the San Antonio, Texas area.
Responsibilities
• Collect, enter, and verify data using specialized software.
• Review completed loan documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate third-party deliverables essential for loan closing and funding.
• Ensure accuracy of settlement statements in collaboration with escrow.
• Track and follow up on funding and disbursement processes.
• Manage pre-funding conditions and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Facilitate loan closings and complete settlement procedures.
• Oversee post-closing tasks including recorded security instruments and final title policies.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and gain product expertise.
• Assist in credit review, background checks, and procurement of third-party documents as needed.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in loan funding, closing, or loan processing.
• Expertise in business purpose mortgage lending with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to evaluate third-party property valuations using established checklists.
• Proficiency in reviewing loan documents, settlement statements, and coordinating closings.
• Familiarity with underwriting processes for borrower entities and individual sponsors/guarantors.
• Knowledge of loan settlement and funding procedures.
