What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Accurately calculate and process payroll for clients, including regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and commissions
– Update payroll records with new hires, terminations, and changes in employee information
– Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding payroll, taxes, and wage and hour laws
– Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, errors, and employee inquiries in a timely manner
– Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll issues and administer employee deductions

What is Required (Qualifications):
– Previous payroll/HR experience is required
– Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Gusto, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
– Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws
– Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Experience working with small to medium-sized businesses in an HR capacity
– Familiarity with various payroll systems and software integrations
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
