What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Process multi-state payment of wages accurately and in a timely manner
– Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
– Assist with the development of payroll procedures and recommend improvements
– Participate in month-end close activities and routine reconciliations
– Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding payroll operations and information
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Proven experience in payroll processing and compliance
– Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws
– Ability to exercise independent judgment in carrying out work details
– High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling payroll information
– Experience in accounting-related tasks and data analysis
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Experience with custom reporting and data analysis in a payroll context
– Familiarity with payroll software and accounting systems
– Background in process improvement initiatives within payroll operations
