This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. The ideal candidate will be familiar with payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Payroll Processing: Manage and process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Data Management: Maintain and update employee records, including salary changes, deductions, and benefits enrollment.
• Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines.
• Reporting: Generate and review payroll reports, including tax filings, garnishments, and benefit deductions. Provide summaries and reports as needed for audits and management review.
• Employee Support: Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• System Management: Utilize payroll software and tools to streamline payroll processes. Ensure data integrity and troubleshoot any system issues.
• Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of payroll accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices in payroll administration.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex payroll issues.
