REMOTE Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor – FHA, VA, SAR, LAPP

We are currently in search of a Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor who will be responsible for coaching, training, and directing the workflow for the Underwriting Department within… our mortgage division.
Primary Responsibilities
Serves as the direct supervisor to Underwriters within the department
Assists Underwriters with daily tasks and questions concerning specific loan applications and loan programs
Performs employee reviews, sets goals and performance objectives for each direct report
Responsible for training the Underwriters
Assists branches with underwriting questions, scenarios and problems specific to the loan files assigned
Makes suggestions to the sales team on how to structure or restructure loans and provides suggestions on what can be obtained to satisfy outstanding conditions of the loan approval
Underwrite loans as needed
Limited job related travel may be required
• Qualifications
At least 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience
Leadership experience
Experience reviewing Conventional Loans
Obtained FHA DE (Direct Endorsed) Underwriting and/or VA credit underwriting / VA LAPP authority
Bachelor’s degree preferred
