Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who will play a crucial role in our finance team. This position involves managing daily accounting tasks, overseeing month-end close processes, reviewing financial reports, and contributing to special projects. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills. Responsibilities
• Execute month-end close activities, including recurring journal entries, prepaid amortization, and accruals.
• Conduct reconciliations for various general ledger accounts such as cash, prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets, leases, inventory, and other current assets.
• Review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and lead initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency.
• Manage travel expenses and credit card reconciliations using Brex Empower.
• Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely lease payments.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and assistance.
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare analysis for accounting treatments.
• Work independently and cross-functionally to take on new challenges and projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Prior audit experience preferred.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to adapt to change.

Bonus Experience
• Experience in the medical or technology industries is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Sage Intact, Brex Empower, and Lease Query is a plus.
