Senior Staff Accountant – Hybrid – Remote | WFH

Are you an experienced Senior Staff Accountant looking for a new opportunity with a dynamic and supportive team? We’re seeking a talented professional to join our team in a hybrid remote role. In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting our accounting, finance, and operations teams.

What You’ll Do…
• Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff accountants. Participate in interviews for new staff accountant positions and supervise their work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate and Support: Work closely with our operations team to help execute company strategies effectively.
• Manage Accounting Tasks: Prepare and post general journal entries, maintain accurate records, and handle financial queries by researching and interpreting data.
• Improve Procedures: Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current practices and recommending improvements.
• Analyze Financials: Prepare and analyze accrual-based financial statements, including trend analysis and budget variance comparisons.
• Maintain Reconciliations: Keep detailed reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts.
• Special Projects: Assist with ad hoc analysis and other special projects as needed.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
• CPA (preferred)
• 2-4 years of experience in healthcare or public accounting (preferred)
