Position Summary

As our Mortgage Banking Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing our mortgage loan program. You’ll use your expertise to enhance our mortgage processes and ensure compliance, while also supporting our team and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate and update mortgage banking policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and investor requirements.
• Revise credit policies and practices or create new ones as needed.
• Assess and optimize the effectiveness of mortgage software applications.
• Document and communicate all mortgage policies and procedures to stakeholders.
• Recommend and manage staffing levels for mortgage support roles, ensuring a well-trained and efficient team.
• Develop and deliver training programs for mortgage origination personnel.
• Collaborate with branch teams to achieve mortgage production goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors and market providers.
• Prepare and present production and performance reports to management.
• Promote a positive work environment aligned with our mission, vision, and values.
• Partner with the Compliance Officer to ensure regulatory compliance and develop appropriate audits and procedures.
• Work with the Marketing Department to effectively market our mortgage services.
• Support the annual budget process and manage expenses.
• Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least four years of experience in mortgage banking
• Two or more years of supervisory experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to quickly learn new products, systems, and workflows
