We’re seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance to support and guide financial strategy during a critical growth phase. This is a 100% remote position, with the expectation to work within Pacific Time Zone hours.
Role Overview…
In this role, you will utilize your 12+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to steer strategic finance initiatives. You’ll work closely with the go-to-market (GTM) and commercial sales teams, operational leadership, and the Board of Directors to build models, forecast sales targets, and deliver strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Model Building & Updating (15%): Develop and enhance financial models by product line, incorporating historical and seasonal data to support informed decision-making.
Data Storytelling (15%): Analyze and present financial data in a way that drives strategic decisions and communicates the story behind the numbers.
Financial Projection (15%): Project financial outcomes with a deep understanding of business drivers, providing insights for future planning.
Thought Leadership (15%): Offer strategic insights and recommendations to guide GTM leadership and influence key business decisions.
Data Visualization & KPI Tracking (10%): Create compelling visualizations to monitor and share key performance indicators with senior leadership.
Board of Directors Reporting (10%): Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and updates for board meetings, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%): Collaborate with R&D and other departments to align financial strategies with operational performance.
Strategic Support (10%): Assist the VP of Finance with long-term planning and strategic initiatives.
Key Characteristics
Leadership Interaction: Proven experience engaging with operations leadership and presenting to executive teams.
Ad Tech Familiarity: Experience in ad tech or similar fields, with a strong understanding of financial modeling in a non-SaaS environment.
Strategic Insight: Ability to provide actionable recommendations based on thorough data analysis.
Requirements
Experience & Skills:
At least 10 years of experience in IT Software (non-SaaS) or ad tech industries.
Expertise in long-range planning and commercial finance.
Demonstrated proficiency in go-to-market strategy development (3+ years).
Experience in creating Annual Operating Plans.
Skilled in creating and interpreting dashboard metrics.
Proficiency in KPI reporting and revenue forecasting.
Experience preparing and delivering financial and management presentations to executive leadership.
Ability to develop and manage complex financial models.
Experience with data visualization.
Strong communication skills, with the capability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
